1966 Topps Baseball Complete Set Mantle Mays Clemente Overall Vg+ Tough Set

  

VERY NICE 1966 TOPPS COMPLETE BASEBALL SET WHICH INCLUDES MANTLE, CLEMENTE, MAYS, AARON, TOUGH HIGH NUMBERS AND SPs. TOUGH TO FIND IN NICE SHAPE. Overall set condition is VG/VG+ in MY OPINION (yours may vary) perhaps VG+ at best. Condition varies throughout from mostly F to EX.

The overwhelming majority are in the VG range with some nicer ones thrown in and some softer ones as well. 15-20% G range, 50% VG, 20% VGEX, 5-10% EX, and the remainder are fillers.

High numbers in the VG range overall with a good deal of variation up and down. Centering issues, creases, wrinkles, and the usual issues you would expect from cards in this condition.

Overall a PRESENTABLE set that shows fairly well for being lower grade. Major starts grade as follows. Mays VG- (creases, corner wear).

Rose VG- (creases, corner wear). Mantle VG+ (well centered, surface crease on back, corner wear). Koufax G/G+ (off center, corner wear, creasing). Palmer RC VG- (corner wear, surface creases). Jenkins RC appears EX- (3 tiny pinholes, corner wear, no creases).

Sutton RC G/G+ (rounded corners, no creases). Clemente VG- (appears nicer, corner wear, creases). Maris G (off center, corner wear, creasing). Aaron (filler, appears nicer, back damage, creasing, warping). Shirley/Jackson RC #591 G/VG (corner wear, minor pencil on front, surface crease).

Perry G/VG (corner wear, surface creasing). Hard to find out there in higher grade without paying several thousand. Priced fairly for a collector to enjoy, or break it apart, get cards graded and use it as an investment. Perfect as a gift for friends or family. Please look at pictures carefully and ask any and all questions beforehand.
